  • Ernst Gamperl

    Artist: Ernst Gamperl

Ernst Gamperl's sculptures aren't just turned on the lathe, they're the fruit of years of painstaking toiling with his medium: wood. Over the past 20 years he has studied its drying properties and their impact on the sculpture. He knows it's a give and take, a dialogue with the material, he can never force a shape upon it. Working out the implications of this insight is a challenge that always spurs him on.

Gallery

An interior does not materialize without a personal touch, albeit an heirloom, an objet trouvé or a piece of art. Baden Baden presents ongoing work of established artists and emerging talents. Always present are the fascinating "collage" paintings of Beiron Brouwers or the feminine ink drawings of Yvonne de Wit.

We are charmed by the strong graphic works by such as Peter-Jac Steenman. Wooden objects by artists such as Lars Zech and Ernst Gamperl are regularly presented in our showroom, as are the works of Gilles Caffier and ceramist Rina Menardi.
